New MRI scan for liver cancer with radiation and immunotherapy

Who can take part

  • You have liver cancer (HCC) that cannot be removed by surgery or transplant.
  • Your doctor plans to give you radiation therapy plus the drugs atezolizumab and bevacizumab.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your liver cancer is at an intermediate or advanced stage (BCLC stage B or C).
  • Your liver function is good (Child-Pugh score A, meaning mild liver disease).
  • You do not have active hepatitis B or C, distant spread of cancer, or serious bleeding risk.
