Who can take part
- You have liver cancer that cannot be surgically removed or transplanted, and your largest tumor is no bigger than 15 centimeters.
- You are at least 18 years old and able to perform daily activities with minimal help (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- Your cancer is stage B (intermediate) or C (advanced) by the BCLC system, and your liver function is well-preserved (Child-Pugh score 5 or 6).
- You must have a documented history of hepatitis B or C (even if treated) – or have been tested for both.
- You have adequate blood cell counts, kidney function, and liver function (like hemoglobin, platelets, bilirubin, and creatinine within safe ranges).
- You cannot have had prior radiation to the liver area, previous yttrium-90 therapy, or active hepatitis infection without treatment.
