Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and scheduled for ventral hernia repair with a defect smaller than 8 cm
  • You have at least 4 weeks before your surgery to take part in the program
  • You screened positive for at least one risky health factor (like smoking, poor nutrition, alcohol use, or being inactive)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have no medical reason preventing you from taking supplements or exercising
  • You do not have a history of severe alcohol withdrawal symptoms (like seizures or delirium)
