Who can take part

  • You are between 65 and 80 years old.
  • You have knee osteoarthritis (moderate to moderate-severe grade).
  • You have not had any falls in the past year.
  • You do not have other serious health conditions like dementia, diabetes, severe heart/lung disease, or cancer affecting bones or muscles.
  • You are able to have an MRI and electrical stimulation (no pacemaker or other implanted devices, no epilepsy, no severe leg vein problems).
  • You have not had any surgery or major injury to your hip, knee, or ankle joints.
