Comparing high-field and ultra-high-field MRI for prostate cancer diagnosis

This study compares two types of MRI scans – one at 3.0 Tesla and one at 5.0 Tesla – to see which is better at finding prostate cancer. If you are scheduled for a prostate biopsy, you may be asked to get both scans to help improve detection.

Who can take part

  • You need at least one reason for a prostate biopsy (as recommended by Chinese expert guidelines)
  • You have no history of other cancers besides prostate cancer
  • You have already had a 3.0T MRI scan that is clear and available
  • You are willing to have an additional 5.0T MRI scan
  • You understand the study and sign a consent form
  • You do not have metal implants or devices that prevent an MRI (like metal plates or heart stents)
