Who can take part
- You have a blockage where the bile ducts branch inside the liver (Bismuth type 3 or 4) from cancer that can't be removed.
- Your cancer has been confirmed by a biopsy.
- Your bilirubin level is at least 3 times higher than normal (above 3.6 mg/dL).
- You do not have any narrowing or blockage in the first part of your small intestine (duodenum).
- You have not had any prior treatment to drain your bile ducts.
