This study tests a gentle shoulder stretching technique to see if it helps people with frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) move their arm more easily. If you have had a frozen shoulder for a while and cannot lift your arm above shoulder height, this might be an option for you.

Who can take part

  • You have frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) only on one side.
  • Your shoulder is in an early to middle stage (stage II), meaning it is stiff but not severely frozen.
  • You cannot raise your arm higher than 100 degrees (about shoulder height) in front of you.
  • You do not have other shoulder problems like a recent injury, infection, fracture, or surgery in that area.
  • You have no active cancer or inflammatory disease near the shoulder.
