Who can take part
- You must have a high-risk mouth pre-cancer, like proliferative leukoplakia, erythroplakia, or a biopsy showing moderate dysplasia or DNA changes (like 9p21 loss or TP53 mutation).
- You must have a lesion in your mouth that is at least 1 cm wide and can be injected with the study drug.
- You must be willing to give blood and tissue samples for research.
- You must be 18 or older and in fairly good health (able to do light activities).
- You cannot have had a severe reaction to herpes viruses or need long-term anti-herpes medication.
- You must not have had an advanced head and neck cancer before (stage III or IV).
