Who can take part

  • You must be between 40 and 85 years old.
  • You have had Parkinson's disease for more than 5 years, diagnosed by a specialist.
  • You experience freezing of gait (feeling like your feet are stuck) that medicines don't fix.
  • You do not have other walking problems from something else (like a stroke or injury).
  • You have not had spinal cord surgery or a spinal cord injury.
  • You are not allergic to the contrast dye used in MRI scans.
