Immune response to stress after trauma

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You must have experienced a traumatic event in your life.
  • You must NOT currently have PTSD (but you can have had it in the past).
  • You must not have any condition that causes inflammation (like an autoimmune disease).
  • You must not be pregnant or planning pregnancy in the next 3 months.

Cervical injections for treatment-resistant PTSD

This study tests if injecting a sugar-water solution around neck nerves can help PTSD that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Half the participants get sugar-water, half get salt-water, and you'll be assigned to usual care for 3 months first.
