Who can take part
- You have colon cancer that has spread to your liver and you are planning to have surgery to remove the liver tumors.
- Your liver is mostly healthy (no cirrhosis) and your doctor thinks you have a low risk of liver failure after surgery.
- If you are having a smaller liver surgery (Part 1), you must be stable within 1–3 days after the operation.
- If you are having a larger liver surgery (Parts 2 and 3), your surgery must be a major liver resection.
- You cannot have any other type of liver cancer, cancer spread to the lining of your belly, or a body mass index (BMI) over 35.
