Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 59 years old for the main study (or over 60 for an observation group).
  • You have a BMI over 27 with a weight-related health issue like high blood pressure or sleep apnea, or a BMI over 30 without those issues.
  • You are about to start a new anti-obesity medication (semaglutide or tirzepatide) and plan to stay on it for at least 6 months.
  • You do not have type 2 diabetes.
  • You have not been exercising more than 60 minutes per week or doing strength training in the last 3 months.
  • You have not lost more than 3% of your body weight in the last 3 months.
