This study tests different medication sequences for children and teens with polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) who still have moderate or high disease activity after at least 3 months on their first tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi) therapy. The goal is to find the best next step to control symptoms and improve quality of life.

Who can take part

  • You have polyarticular JIA (arthritis affecting many joints).
  • You still have moderate or high disease activity after being on your first TNFi medicine for at least 3 months.
  • You are between 2 and 18 years old and weigh at least 22 pounds (10 kg).
  • If you take steroids by mouth, the dose must be low and stable for at least 2 weeks before starting the study.
  • You cannot have certain other conditions like systemic JIA, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, active uveitis, or sacroiliitis.
  • You cannot have taken more than one type of TNFi, or any non-TNFi biologic or JAK inhibitor before.
