Bicuspid Aortic Valve (BAV)

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have severe aortic stenosis (a narrowed heart valve).
  • Your aortic valve is bicuspid type 1 or 2 (a valve with two flaps).
  • You had a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) between September 2018 and June 2024.
  • The valve used was a self-expanding, supra-annular type sized with the LIRA method.
  • You did not have a repeat TAVR, an emergency TAVR, or TAVR for a leaky valve (aortic regurgitation).
