Bicuspid aortic valve repair: comparing two surgical techniques

Who can take part

  • You have a bicuspid aortic valve with two fused flaps and an uneven opening.
  • Your valve leaks severely, as shown by at least one test measure (e.g., a wide jet, fast pressure drop, large hole size, high volume, or enlarged heart chamber).
  • You are scheduled for valve repair surgery, possibly with other heart procedures like bypass or mitral valve repair.
  • You are willing to take part and sign a consent form.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
