  • At least 18 years old
  • Diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) that has spread into a branch of the main vein carrying blood to the liver, but the tumor can still be surgically removed after consultation with a team of specialists
  • No prior cancer treatment (like surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, or targeted therapy) for this liver cancer
  • Good overall health, able to perform daily activities with little or no help
  • Adequate liver and kidney function, as shown by blood tests
