Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) that is confirmed by biopsy.
- Your cancer is locally advanced, meaning it has not spread to other parts of your body, but it is too large or involves too many areas in the liver to be removed right away.
- You have not had any previous cancer treatment that goes throughout your body (systemic therapy) for this liver cancer.
- You are 18 years old or older and are generally able to take care of yourself (ECOG 0 or 1).
- Your liver and kidney function are adequate, as shown by blood tests done within a certain time frame.
- You do not have active bleeding from the stomach or esophagus, or a condition that requires frequent fluid removal from the abdomen (paracentesis).
