Immunotherapy plus radiation before surgery for liver cancer

HCC

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This trial tests whether combining the immunotherapy drug sintilimab with targeted radiation therapy before surgery can improve outcomes for patients with liver cancer that can be surgically removed. It aims to shrink the tumor and reduce the chance of recurrence.

NCT06904014Recruiting· Phase 2
Testing a new drug combo before surgery for liver cancer

This trial tests if combining three therapies (sintilimab, lenvatinib, and HAIC) before surgery can help shrink liver tumors that are on the borderline of being removable. It's for people whose cancer has spread into nearby blood vessels but not to other organs.

NCT04988945Recruiting· Phase 2
Immunotherapy with liver tumor radiation to shrink hard-to-remove liver cancer

This Phase 2 trial tests whether combining targeted liver procedures (TACE) and high-dose radiation (SBRT) followed by two immunotherapy drugs can “downstage” hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), meaning make it smaller/less advanced. It may help some people become better candidates for future treatment by shrinking tumors.

Liver cancer trial: SBRT plus immunotherapy and targeted therapy before surgery

This trial tests a combination of focused radiation (SBRT), an immunotherapy drug (adelimumab), and a targeted therapy pill (apatinib) before surgery for liver cancer. The goal is to shrink tumors enough to make surgery possible or more effective.

NCT06664996Recruiting· Phase 2
Immunotherapy plus radiation before surgery for liver cancer with portal vein tumor clot

This trial tests combining an immunotherapy drug (sintilimab) with focused radiation (SBRT) before surgery for liver cancer that has spread into a branch of the portal vein. The goal is to see if this combination can shrink the tumor and make surgery more successful.

NCT07027436Not yet recruiting· Phase 3
Immunotherapy plus radiation before liver cancer surgery

This study tests whether adding two immunotherapy drugs (durvalumab and tremelimumab) plus radiation before surgery works better than radiation alone before surgery for people with resectable liver cancer. It's for those with a single tumor (or a few small nearby spots) that hasn't spread.

NCT06313190Recruiting· Phase 2
SBRT plus immunotherapy for small liver cancer

This trial tests a combination of targeted radiation (SBRT) and immunotherapy for people with small liver cancers that have come back or are still present after prior treatment. It aims to see if this approach can better control the cancer without using heavy chemotherapy.
