  • You have a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) that needs surgery for the first time.
  • Your doctor plans to use a graft from your own body (autograft) for the ACL repair.
  • You have no other torn knee ligaments that need surgery.
  • You have not had any previous knee surgery on this knee.
  • You do not have cancer.
  • You are not pregnant or nursing.
