Who can take part

  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be 25 or higher.
  • Your weight should be stable (no more than a 5% change) in the last 3 months.
  • You must be willing to follow a written diet plan.
  • You need to be able to attend appointments in person and by phone every two weeks for 12 weeks.
  • You must live in the study area for the full 12 weeks.
  • Your regular doctor must give you the OK to lose weight.
