Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You have obesity (grade I, II, or III) or are overweight with a weight-related health problem like diabetes or high blood pressure.
  • You have not had weight loss surgery or a stomach balloon before.
  • You are not allergic to methylene blue (a blue dye sometimes used in medical tests).
  • If you could become pregnant, you are willing to use birth control and take part in follow-up visits.
