Who can take part
- You’re between 18 and 65 years old
- You have asthma, and it’s not well controlled despite inhaled steroid inhalers (with or without other inhalers)
- Your BMI is in an obesity range (BMI 30–34.9, or higher with certain health risks), and bariatric surgery isn’t an option or you don’t want it
- You can use effective birth control if you’re able to become pregnant, and you agree in writing to join the study
- You don’t have COPD, and you haven’t had a recent asthma flare-up in the last 4 weeks
