Who can take part
- You have a condition called atrioventricular block (a type of heart block) and your doctor says you need a pacemaker.
- After getting the pacemaker, your heart is expected to be paced (stimulated) at least half the time.
- You are willing and able to give permission to join the study.
- You are not currently in a heart rhythm called persistent atrial fibrillation.
- You do not have heart failure with a low pumping strength (ejection fraction of 35% or less).
- You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
