Who can take part

  • You have knee osteoarthritis, diagnosed by a doctor.
  • You are 40 years old or older.
  • You do not have tuberculosis, tumors, rheumatism, or rheumatoid arthritis in your knee.
  • You have not had a recent sprain or injury to your leg.
  • You do not have serious heart, liver, kidney, immune, blood, or skin disease, or diabetes.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You have not used physical therapy for your knee pain in the past month.
  • You have not had a steroid or gel injection in your knee in the past 6 months.
  • You have not had knee replacement surgery, and your knee does not have a positive floating patella test.
