Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have a confirmed HIV infection and have never taken HIV medications before.
- Your viral load (amount of HIV in your blood) should be between about 80 and 400 copies/mL.
- Your CD4 count (immune cell level) should be between 350 and 500 cells/mm3.
- You cannot be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, and you must not have hepatitis B or C.
- Your weight must be over 50 kg (about 110 lbs) and your body mass index (BMI) must be at least 18.5.
