This study tests whether a combination approach, including a drug called nicotinamide (a form of vitamin B3) and other strategies, can reduce the hidden HIV reservoir enough to allow a temporary pause in antiretroviral therapy without the virus rebounding. Who can take part

  • Aged 18 to 64 with documented HIV-1 infection.
  • On the same HIV medications for at least 2 years, with no changes in the past 6 months.
  • Undetectable HIV viral load (below 50 copies/mL) for the past 2 years without any blips.
  • Lowest ever CD4 count above 350 and current CD4 count above 500.
  • HIV virus type is R5 (as determined by a blood test).
  • No active serious infections or other conditions that could interfere with the study.
