Who can take part

  • You must have had type 1 diabetes for at least 1 year.
  • You must be 18 years or older and currently using an approved hybrid closed loop system (like a Medtronic 670G, Tandem t:slim with Control-IQ, or Omnipod 5) for at least 3 months.
  • Your most recent HbA1c or GMI (a measure of blood sugar control) must be between 6.5% and 10.5%.
  • You must live with another adult who can sleep in the house at night and attend a training session.
  • You must live within 40 miles of Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.
  • You must be physically able to do 30 minutes of exercise and not have any serious heart, kidney, or liver problems.
