Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a recent (acute) tear or severe compression of the median or ulnar nerve in your forearm (between elbow and wrist).
  • Your hand has muscle wasting, abnormal nerve tests, and specific signs like a positive Froment's or Wartenberg's test.
  • You have not had a stroke, diabetes, arrhythmia, or other nerve conditions like ALS or multiple sclerosis.
  • You do not have a pacemaker, an infection at the injury site, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
