Balance training with a stabilometric platform for Friedreich's ataxia

Who can take part

  • You are 14 years old or older
  • You weigh less than 150 kg (about 330 pounds)
  • You have a genetic diagnosis of Friedreich's ataxia
  • Your walking ability is rated between 1 and 6 on the SARA scale (some problems walking, but not the worst or best)
  • Your ability to stand unsupported is rated between 1 and 3 on the SARA scale (some trouble but can stand alone)
  • You can walk at least 10 metres, even if you use a walker or cane, and you can stand without help
