Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have paroxysmal or persistent atrial fibrillation that was diagnosed less than 2 years ago.
- Your doctor has decided a procedure called pulmonary vein isolation with balloon cryoablation is right for you.
- You have not had any prior catheter or surgical ablation for atrial fibrillation.
- You do not have severe heart valve disease, congenital heart disease, or a blood clot in your heart.
- You are not severely frail, have a life expectancy longer than 1 year, and are not pregnant or planning pregnancy.
