  • Be between 18 and 90 years old
  • Be in the ICU, awake, and able to communicate clearly
  • Have a collapsed lung area (atelectasis) and need oxygen or a ventilator
  • Not be pregnant
  • Not have a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) or a serious chronic lung disease that requires home oxygen
