Imaging test for protein loss in digestive cancer patients

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with a digestive system tumor (such as stomach, colon, or pancreatic cancer).
  • You have low protein levels in your blood or symptoms of low protein (like swelling or fluid buildup).
  • Your blood albumin level is less than 30 g/L, and your alpha-1 antitrypsin level in stool is more than 80 ml per day.
  • You have a tumor that can be seen on standard imaging scans (like CT or MRI).
  • Your doctor expects you to live at least 3 more months.
