Who can take part
- You are a male between 18 and 35 years old.
- You are in good health (no chronic diseases).
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 30.
- You do not smoke.
- You are not currently following a progressive exercise training program (like serious weightlifting or endurance training).
- You have no history of neuromuscular problems (like muscle weakness or nerve issues).
- You are not taking blood thinners or medications that affect muscle protein (like steroids or anti-inflammatory drugs).
- You have not participated in a study using special amino acid tracers in the past 12 months.
- You do not have phenylketonuria (a metabolic disorder) or any condition that limits breakdown of amino acids.
- You have no liver or kidney damage.
