Who can take part

  • You had your first stroke, and it was caused by a blocked blood vessel (ischemic stroke).
  • You are 18 years old or older and can make your own decisions about joining the study.
  • Before the stroke, you could walk and take care of yourself without help from others.
  • You do not have a condition that affects your vision, balance, or ability to feel sensations (like from diabetes or other health issues).
  • You are not taking part in any other treatment study for the next 6 months, and you can come back for follow-up visits.
