Who can take part
- You are 18 to 75 years old.
- You have relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML), meaning the leukemia came back or didn't respond to prior treatment. This includes cases where tiny amounts of leukemia cells remain after treatment (MRD-positive).
- Your liver and kidneys work well enough (bilirubin, liver enzymes, and creatinine within certain limits).
- Your heart pumps blood well (ejection fraction at least 50%) and you do not have serious heart problems.
- You have not had certain chemotherapy drugs like mitoxantrone or high doses of doxorubicin before.
- You do not have uncontrolled infections, other active cancers, or active hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV.
