Who can take part

  • Your kidney stone is smaller than 3 centimeters or covers an area less than 900 square millimeters.
  • You have no signs of a current urinary tract infection (no fever, pain when peeing, or frequent urination).
  • A urine test within the last 2 weeks showed no infection.
  • You are not taking or have not taken antibiotics for a UTI in the last 4 weeks.
  • You are not immunocompromised (have a weakened immune system) and do not have poorly controlled diabetes or an allergy to antibiotics.
