Who can take part

  • You must have a BMI of 25 or higher (that means you are considered overweight or obese).
  • You must be willing to take part in the study.
  • You cannot have uncontrolled high blood pressure or diabetes.
  • You cannot have a serious health problem such as liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, lung disease, heart problems, or a neurological condition.
  • You cannot be pregnant.
  • You cannot have had weight-loss (bariatric) surgery in the past.
