Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma that cannot be removed by surgery and has spread or come back after treatment.
  • Your tumor cells have a lot of EGFR (a protein that helps cancer grow), as shown by a lab test.
  • Your cancer has gotten worse after at least one prior treatment.
  • You are in generally good health (able to do daily activities with little or no help).
  • Your heart, liver, and kidney function are adequate based on blood tests and an ultrasound of your heart.
