MRI for diagnosing bile duct blockages in jaundice

Who can take part

  • You must be an adult (18 years or older).
  • You must have obstructive jaundice (blockage in the bile ducts) confirmed by lab tests.
  • Your jaundice must not be caused by a liver problem (non-obstructive).
  • You cannot have any metal implants or devices that are not safe for MRI (like pacemakers, cochlear implants, or metal screws).
  • You must not be claustrophobic (afraid of small spaces), because you'll be inside an MRI machine.
