Who can take part

  • You must be diagnosed with von Willebrand disease (VWD) by a doctor.
  • Your weight must be between 110 and 265 pounds (50 to 120 kg).
  • You cannot be on regular preventive treatment for bleeding (except for certain parts of the study).
  • You must have low VWF activity (below 50 IU/dL) and low factor VIII (below 70 IU/dL).
  • You cannot have a history of blood clots or conditions that increase clot risk.
  • You must be at least 16 years old (some groups require 18 or older) and under 70.
