Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You take a benzodiazepine medicine (such as Valium or Xanax) every day, at a dose that equals 20 to 80 mg of diazepam.
  • You need to be in the hospital to safely stop or reduce this medication.
  • You are willing to complete a study and answer questionnaires.
  • You are not pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have a serious medical or psychiatric condition that needs emergency care.
  • You do not have an alcohol, pregabalin, or gabapentin use disorder.
