Who can take part

  • You must have HPV-positive oropharyngeal cancer (confirmed by a p16 test or other HPV test).
  • Your cancer stage must be T1-T3, N0-N2b (older staging) or T1-T3, N0-N1 (newer staging).
  • Your care team must plan to treat you with surgery first (transoral resection and neck dissection).
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must not have had radiation therapy to your head or neck before.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
