Who can take part

  • You have a type of throat cancer (oropharynx cancer) that is p16-positive, meaning it's linked to HPV.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your cancer stage must be one of these: early stage (T0-4, N0, N1, N3) or, if you have limited lymph node spread (N2), you must have smoked less than 10 pack-years (a pack-year is smoking one pack per day for a year).
  • Your cancer has not spread to distant organs (like lungs or liver).
  • You have not had chemotherapy or radiation therapy for this specific cancer before.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control during treatment and for 6 months after, if you are of childbearing age or sexually active.
