Who can take part
- You are a man between 30 and 75 years old
- You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer that is intermediate-risk and has not spread
- You are planning to have surgery to remove your prostate
- You have diabetes and are overweight (BMI 27 or higher, or waist over 40 inches) OR you have a BMI of 30 or higher, OR a BMI of 27 or higher with a weight-related condition (like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, or heart disease)
- You have not taken weight loss medicine, had weight loss surgery, or lost more than 11 pounds in the last 3 months
- You do not have severe kidney, liver, pancreas, stomach, or psychiatric conditions
