Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 4 and 7 years old.
  • The tooth must be infected (has swelling, a gum bump, and hurts when tapped).
  • An X-ray must show signs of infection near the root of the tooth.
  • Your child cannot have a serious medical condition (like a heart problem) that makes dental work risky.
  • Your child cannot have taken antibiotics in the last two weeks.
  • The tooth must be repairable (not too damaged or oddly shaped).
