Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have been diagnosed with peri-implantitis (infection around a dental implant).
  • Your implant has bleeding or pus when probed, and a pocket depth of 6 mm or more, along with bone loss.
  • You have not had surgery for peri-implantitis on the same implant before.
  • You do not have uncontrolled diabetes, problems with alcohol or drugs, or poor oral hygiene that would prevent surgery.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you haven't had radiation therapy to your head or neck.
