Surgery for flexible flatfoot in teens

Who can take part

  • You are an adolescent with a flexible flatfoot deformity (the arch can still move when not bearing weight).
  • Previous non-surgical treatments (like special shoe inserts or therapy) have not worked well.
  • You may have generalized loose joints (ligamentous laxity).
  • You do not have a neurological disorder (like cerebral palsy or spina bifida).
  • The foot deformity is not rigid (stiff, unable to correct).
