Who can take part

  • You must have adenocarcinoma (a type of cancer) of the stomach or where the stomach meets the esophagus, at a stage where surgery is possible and the tumor is T3 or higher or has spread to lymph nodes (stage N+).
  • You must not have had any prior cancer treatment for this diagnosis, such as chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery.
  • You need to be between 18 and 75 years old and be in generally good health (able to do daily activities with little help).
  • Your blood counts and organ function (kidney, liver, heart) need to be within certain limits, as checked by tests.
  • You must agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 4 months after the last dose.
  • You cannot have other serious health issues, like active infections, autoimmune diseases, heart problems, or other cancers in the last 5 years.
