Who can take part
- You have a type of stomach cancer called diffuse-type with at least half the tumor made of signet-ring cells.
- Your cancer is HER2-negative, which means it doesn't have that protein.
- Your cancer stage is T3 or T4a with no spread to distant organs, and doctors think surgery can remove it.
- You are between 18 and 75 years old and in good enough health to have daily activities (ECOG 0 or 1).
- You have not had any previous stomach surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy for cancer.
- Your heart, liver, and kidney function are within normal limits, and you have no active infections or serious health conditions.
