Who can take part

  • Your baby is a full-term newborn (born between 37 and 40 weeks) and less than 28 days old
  • Or your baby is a premature infant (born between 32 and 37 weeks) but still less than 28 days old when considering their due date
  • Your baby weighs more than 1.5 kilograms (about 3.3 pounds) at birth
  • Your baby's heart condition was found during an ultrasound between 22 and 26 weeks of pregnancy
  • Your baby's heart problem can be fixed with a two-ventricle repair (not just a temporary fix or single-ventricle surgery)
  • Your baby does not have any known genetic or chromosomal abnormalities or other serious health problems
